Security Enhancements 2025

Phishing scams are on the rise, and businesses of all kinds are being targeted. Scammers are getting smarter, and unfortunately, these attacks are only going to increase.

To keep your Rex CRM account (and your data) safe, we’ve rolled out some new security measures.

What’s new?

1. Enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Admins can now require MFA for all users in their account. Once switched on:

  • All users must set up MFA to log in
  • Users without MFA will be logged out and prompted to set it up
  • Admins can enable this for all child accounts in one go

Enforcing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security beyond just a password. This means if someone gets hold of your password, they still won’t be able to access your account without a second step of verification. With MFA turned on for all users, the risk of unauthorised access drops significantly.

2. Automatic logouts for security actions

For added protection, users will be logged out across all devices when they:

  • Reset or change their password
  • Change their email address
  • Enable MFA

3. Force logout

Need to log out from all apps and devices to secure your account? Now you can, with the click of a button.

4. Stronger password requirements

New passwords now need to be:

  • At least 8 characters
  • A mix of letters and at least one number or symbol

5. More detailed audit logging

Anytime a user is enabled or disabled in CRM, it’ll now be recorded in audit logs for better tracking.

Why these updates matter

These enhancements make your account more secure by helping to shut down compromised sessions, improving activity tracking, and preventing unauthorised access.

Cyber threats aren’t going away, but with these updates, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your account is locked down tight. This means your business, your team, and your customer’s data stay better protected. It’s a simple but powerful way to keep everything secure.
