Today’s feature release is short, but oh so sweet. What could be sweeter than saving time? Previously, if you wanted to add a disclaimer to your portal ads, you had to manually type it into every one of your listing descriptions. Not anymore, folks. Now, you can set a specific disclaimer to appear under all your portal ads. You can even set a different disclaimer for one or more of your listing types. Not sure what to write? Here’s some inspiration to get you started.

Something a little more formal may be necessary. For example:
"Disclaimer: This property is being sold without a price and therefore a price guide cannot be provided. The website may have filtered the property into a price bracket for website functionality purposes.”
or
“Information contained on any marketing material, website or other portal should not be relied upon. You should make your own enquiries and seek your own independent advice with respect to any property advertised or the information about the property.”
Disclaimers don’t need to be all business though - you could write a “disclaimer” for your residential sale listings, inviting investors to contact you in relation to property management. This tells people you not only sell homes - you rent them, too. Try something along the lines of:
“Rex Real Estate Agents also offer a property management service. If you’re considering renting your property, are looking to buy or would like a free review of your current portfolio, please call our main office on (07) 3311 2345.”

Here’s how you do it
Open Settings, and click Portals and Publication Defaults. Click Disclaimer, and then the plus button to open the new Disclaimer dialogue. Type what you’d like to appear under your listing ads, and then select which type of listing this particular disclaimer should appear under, then click Save.
Use the dropdown arrow to enable your disclaimer.
Navigate to any current residential sale listing and you’ll notice that the information in the right bar has been updated to read disclaimer added. Please note that you’ll need the View Portal Admin Section permission to add or edit disclaimer text. You can find that permission under the Admin Portal Uploads privilege set. That’s all for today!
